do you have to fail an IQ test to work for doordash

don’t you just have to be overworked and underpaid? or is that a different food delivery service I’m thinking of

i have dealt with a lot of overworked and underpaid people, i’ve BEEN overworked and underpaid people! but, in my experience, ONLY doordashers have, with shocking uniformity, put me through such fucking GAUNTLETS as

  • delivering my food to the far side of an active construction site and described that as ‘left at your front door’
  • circled the block twice, called me for directions, parked across the street against my clear instructions to go to the huge colorful landmark, and walked back and forth for multiple minutes talking over me while i tried to explain that i could literally fucking see them 50 feet away if they would TURN. AROUND.
  • called me and insisted that i come downstairs and take the food from their hands 'for their safety.’ the house they were demanding me to exit was not my house. it was, in fact, the aforementioned construction site, which was still wrapped in tyvek and had no lights on
  • engaged in a nearly 15 minute conflict about which house was mine despite being REPEATEDLY told Not To Look For A House, It’s The Fucking Mailbox
  • insisted over and over again they could not find my mailbox, finally said 'there’s no mailbox, just the house number.’ when i said That Is The Fucking Mailbox, You Are Looking At The Mailbox, they asked if i wanted my food left next to the mailbox. on the ground.

just to name a few

(context: my delivery instructions say 'please leave it in the white mailbox.’ there is only one mailbox and it has my house number on it in huge black font.)
