i have dealt with a lot of overworked and underpaid people, i’ve BEEN overworked and underpaid people! but, in my experience, ONLY doordashers have, with shocking uniformity, put me through such fucking GAUNTLETS as
delivering my food to the far side of an active construction site and described that as ‘left at your front door’
circled the block twice, called me for directions, parked across the street against my clear instructions to go to the huge colorful landmark, and walked back and forth for multiple minutes talking over me while i tried to explain that i could literally fucking see them 50 feet away if they would TURN. called me and insisted that i come downstairs and take the food from their hands 'for their safety.’ the house they were demanding me to exit was not my house. it was, in fact, the aforementioned construction site, which was still wrapped in tyvek and had no lights on
