can we normalise people not saying mean jokes to one another without their consent? and not call the people who aren’t comfortable with mean jokes “snowflakes”?

we don’t call people who aren’t comfortable with physical touch without consent “snowflakes”.

you wouldn’t say sexual things to a stranger online without knowing whether or not they’re an adult who is comfortable with it (some people do, but they don’t count). so why should people be expected to ‘grow up’ when someone is uncomfortable with a mean joke?

(i’m autistic and tend to misinterpret the cues a lot of mean jokes have, so i’m not comfortable with them)
