as a scandinavian girl, this just gets extra close y'know.
It’s my culture, I’ve celebrated this my whole life(in all scandinavian countries christmas is still called yule, and many of the old traditions are still used)
And like I assume it’s like this for most who celebrate christmas, but the food is very close to my heart. So don’t fuck with that.
Don’t fuck with my culture either trying to use it to push your damn agenda as so many right wing chuds are doing.
Norse culture is about fucking with gender and eating hella meat. Fuck you PETA and fuck you right wingers
unless you’re voluntarily a vegan and don’t force it on people, in which case they should still be an option for you.
But yea, the food is so important. Yule without meat wouldn’t be Yule.
I could even easily imagine vegans and vegetarians making an exception for this

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
I still need to see those vegans and vegetarians forcing it on others in like real life. I know, I know, there is everything on the internet, but the closest thing I have found to someone “forcing” it on me was them telling me they only have and prepare vegan food in their own home and won’t make exceptions for guests.
Not everyone presenting options is “pushing an agenda”, sometimes they just share a recipe.
PETA is definitely pushing an agenda and so has pretty much all the vegans who’ve come to this post about PETA where I specified I don’t hate vegans.
Also if vegans invite people over for a Christmas dinner and don’t plan on making traditional diskes as Well as their pen vegan dishes. Then yea it’s on Them, because that’s pretty dickish. As they’ll expect that they’ve been considered if they go to another Christmas dinner
