“nobody in miami knows how to drive” “nobody in austin knows how to drive” “nobody in chicago knows how to drive” maybe we shouldnt have cars
Maybe we should find people who are good at driving and give them really big cars, and then people can just pay a small fee to be driven around the city. Maybe in a regular loop so people always know where they’ll be at certain times of the day.
But what if those really big cars were also really long and fast?
And what if they ran on electricity? But what to call them?
Fantabulous Looping Electromnibus!
I like the way you think
i thought i knew where this post was going, but then it derailed
there are corners of this website where the year is still 2013. and sometimes, on beautiful nights when the veil is thin, you can find them . if you know where to look
Me: hey there’s a big issue with anti-masculinity in queer and leftist spaces. Trans fems, if they don’t constantly perform hyperfemininity and aren’t little and skinny and white, are demonised and people call them pedophiles because there’s such a dislike of any association with masculinity. Trans mascs are told they’re “whiny MRAs” when they talk about the oppression they face. Masculine intersex people are erased or told they should just be more feminine if they don’t want people to be scared of them for looking masculine. People act like marginalised men (queer men, trans men, men of colour, etc, intersex men) aren’t actually marginalised because they’re men. The vocal “all men literally ARE evil” rhetoric isn’t actually venting when it’s constant and public, it’s harming marginalised men and is a contributing factor to teens and young cis (often but not always het) going down the alt-right pipeline, and is directly linked with trans people not transitioning or being too scared to transition because by becoming a man they are becoming “the enemy”. There’s the idea of “women +” or “women and nonbinary,” which positions all nonbinary people as ‘basically women’ or affiliated with femininity, and in practice ends up pushing away anyone who appears or identifies with masculinity, regardless of their gender identity. Butches are treated as if they’re just sex toys, or that they’re scary and dangerous because of their masc presentation. This is actually a huge, pervasive issue that is further hurting already marginalised people AND is pushing potential allies away because it’s making them feel bad for something they can’t control (being men.)
Dumbasses: lol op thinks cis men are oppressed by minorities
I can tell we watch a few too many cooking shows at home, because my eight year old told me “the ginger isn’t really coming through in this salmon”. In his defense, he was right, but at the time I didn’t appreciate it.
honestly christianity really hit the jackpot with “jesus christ” rolling off the tongue as an expletive so well. the number one problem with fantasy settings is that whatever names you come up with to take in vain will never hit as well as “jesus christ”
this guy gets it!!!!! this is the kind of rock solid phonetic structural integrity you have to compete with!!!! and no amount of marika’s tits or thal’s balls or odin’s beards will ever get close because with ol jeezy boy his name alone has all the features you need
Multiple sources, including Resistance News Network and journalist Anas Al-Sharif, report the murder of young journalist Hassan Hamad by the occupation. Hassan ascended to martyrdom when the IOF bombed his home in Jabaliya, north Gaza. He recently reported (flash warning) for Al-Jazeera on the IOF’s sudden resurgence in bombing attacks on north Gaza.
We have frequently shared Hassan’s posts on this blog, and we are devastated to hear of his loss. He was a courageous and dedicated journalist who constantly risked his life to document the IOF’s genocide of the people of Gaza. He did not have a massive platform and he had almost no resources at his disposal. Yet he chose to put himself in greater danger, seeking out the site of occupation atrocities in order to show the world the truth.
Hassan was last active on his Instagram account just 2 hours ago. He was most active on Instagram and Telegram (graphic content warning). We ask our followers to share his latest updates, on Instagram if you have it, or by copying and posting the links from his posts across your social media accounts.
Please amplify the voices of the people of north Gaza, so that more people will know the truth, and so the courage and sacrifices of people like Hassan will not be in vain.
I think we as a society should revisit the idea of armpits having holes you can do stuff with
like okay imagine you’re cold and you just crawl into your SO’s hairy pit hole for the night and they sweat so much you just kinda slide in and out easy and they have a pit orgasm because you’re so deep in there and its sweat and cum and then they
imagine having deodorant but its like breath mints for your pitholes

nothing has made me feel like an ancient grumpy crone more than the “using chatgpt for school is fine actually” sentiment among youths
if you use chatgpt to write your english assignments that is bad. you should not do that
this has been accelerated by watching my roommate who teaches freshmen composition slowly become ben_affleck_smoking.jpg as he has to fail multiple students every semester for using chatgpt
like. this is bad and this person should feel bad lol this completely misses the point of writing assignments. the point is the production, not the end product
critical thinking is a genuinely important life skill, whether or not you pursue higher education. fascism relies on anti-intellectualism!
AND IT’S TERRIBLE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. what are we doing here
Your ability to thinkfor yourself is one of the most valuable powers you have, and one of the only things no one can take away from you.
Do not give it away willingly.
How does this stuff not count as plagiarism?
It is plagiarism, and it’s plagiarism even if you disclosed that you used chatgpt, because chatgpt cannot cite its sources and plagiarism in academia is less about “intellectual property” like disney type shit and more about being able to trace an idea back to where it came from.
Without the power to follow a line of citations back to the original source, human knowledge falls apart like a sand castle. You cant criticize an idea if you don’t know where it came from. You cant even tell if it’s true. If there is no source, you don’t know if it came from a reputable scientific journal or some pamphlet titled Why White People Are The Superior Race.
i think some professors are well meaningly openminded about these technologies and don’t really truly understand how they work. Which is not their fault, the technologies have been consistently called something they’re not.
ChatGPT creates sentences based on probabilities of what words are likely to go together. This is especially dangerous because it’s likely to say things that “everyone knows,” things that lots of people believe, the very things that seem the most innocuous simply because they’re commonplace, and are the most dangerously wrong because they’re commonplace.
ChatGPT’s training data contains all of the racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, and other prejudice, hatred, and bigotry of the society that produced that data. The developers can stop ChatGPT from saying slurs and other disgusting stuff its training data certainly provides, but censoring the filth that is present within this machine really makes it more dangerous: the bigotry is still there, it’s just that the text will only be generated if the bigotry is subtle enough to escape these filters.
If ChatGPT’s training data shows that someone named “John” is more likely to be described as “brilliant” or “great” or “strong” and someone named Mary is more likely to be described as “pretty,” it’s going to make sentences that reflect that. If the data shows a statistical correlation between the words “Muslim” or “Islam” and the words “extremism” or “war,” it’s going to put those words together more often. Can we see how this might be a problem
your ability to have your own thoughts and ideas is so valuable. it is absolutely priceless and precious. You can be born into a world where a disease is incurable and become the person to cure it, you can be born into a bigoted culture and choose to believe in the value of all human beings, you can see a weird bug that no one has ever found beautiful or interesting or worthy of study and devote your life to studying it and learning to see its amazing and divine beauty. Why? Because you can THINK. Because you have your own mind and your own power to create new ideas and to direct and channel the love within your heart.
You are not just a muddled puddle of all the ideas and knowledge you have happened to encounter, passively absorbing whatever is around you. You have your own energy to confront the world with ferocious curiosity!

This thread is full of the luckiest people on the planet, I think. Also goes to show just how calm even venomous snakes are - coral snakes rarely bite unless you’re actively harassing them - and how important it is to make sure your ID as non-venomous is 1000% certain before picking up any wild snake.
really we dodged a bullet because if ninerose had been platonic like just fully platonic friends then people would be calling it a father-daughter relationship and shipping the doctor with jackie to make them a little nuclear family
Very fascinated with the phenomenon of cis women (especially relatives & occasionally random terfs on the internet) mourning the “loss” of trans people’s boobs.
Like girl it’s literally just fat & tissue existing on another person’s body, wtf is your problem?
Personally? I'm a fan of pussy and penis hands. A pussy on one hand, a penis on the other. Everytime you clap the penis hands fucks the pussy hand. Applause causes pregnancy and pregnancy causes fingers to lactate.
Ive seen people be like in modern fantasy like “oh the pritagonists can just look up spells on their phone how do you solve that”
Imma be honest most people who go on recipe websites and book every recipe they see don’t even use them lmao why would with be different
Given how terrible most recipe websites are i can only imagine how bad spell websites would be
Having to navigate someone’s entire life story of how they became a witch in order to get to the part where they actually talk about the gods-damned banishing ritual
the number of ‘easy 3 step spell to fly’ that at best do nothing, and have a good chance of doing something very bad to you is non zero
Some people have “fuck you” money. You know, that amount you have in the bank where you can look at someone, say “fuck you, I quit” or “fuck you, I’m leaving” or anything like that.
This has now taught me that some people have “fuck you” time. and I could not be any happier with this knowledge.
The secret to developing Fuck You Time is developing Fuck You Skills. In the above example, the gentleman had the Fuck You Skills of
1. Being able to track down the superintendent’s doctoral thesis 2. How to check it for plagiarism 3. How to notify the relevant people of this fraud without sounding like a crank.
Since he has these skills, it does not take him MUCH time to preform the Fuck You. Hence, his Fuck You time might be only a few hours a week, but because he’s so effecient at the Fuck You, that’s all he needs.
Learn a new skill and how to tell the universe Fuck You! today!
Everything about this is so fucking funny. The song. The chubby dances. The way he just gets fucking KIDNAPPED. The presentation of the guy in the white shirt in the picture when he returns. This is my favorite post.
If you look closely, she’s got the heart tail so. Girlboss.
Youtuber RTgame put out a video titled “The Minecraft Movie Looks Bad: Is Minecraft Story Mode Worse?” and then used A/B testing to change the thumbnail to say either Yes or No, and just watched the comments tear each other to bits.
fucking hell i forget that some people violently hate polyamory and are way too proud of admitting it :/
“if my partner suggested polyamory i would kill them and then myself” what happened to being respectful? do you not hear how shitty that is to say ??? whats fucking wrong with people
responses to a “what would you do if your partner suggested polyamory?” poll. what the fuck.
Hey pals, this kind of behavior is a huge red flag. Translate this threat to simple English: “I would punish my partner with emotional and physical violence (or the threat of it) simply for asking a question I don’t like.”
This is manipulation and abuse. The polyamory thing is so incredibly beside the point – if they will threaten to punish you for asking one question they don’t like, then chances are they will threaten/punish you for asking any question they don’t like.
It might not always be physically violent: Someone breaking down into hysterics every time you try to communicate your needs/wants/idle hypothetical curiosities, to the point where you feel afraid to start a good-faith conversation about your relationship because they will blame you for causing their feelings – thatis still manipulation and abuse.
If you feel like there’s no “right way” to advocate for your own needs without causing a catastrophic meltdown in your partner, or if you are afraid of your partner’s patterns of emotional response in any way, that is a symptom of manipulation and abuse. If you feel like you have to be constantly hyper-vigilant about every word you say for fear of hurting them, that is a symptom of manipulation and abuse.
Get out or get help. You are not the bad guy. You are not the bad guy. You are not the bad guy. You are not obligated to stay with someone who has threatened you, threatened themselves as a way of controlling your behavior, or otherwise made you afraid like this. YOU ARE NOT THE BAD GUY. YOU’RE NOT.
If you are in this situation, please consider telling a friend, a trusted mentor, a parent, a therapist, etc about what’s happening. There may be resources in your country for domestic violence services to help you get out if you need to leave and feel like you can’t. (Also please note that although I have used the word “partner” here, you can replace that word with any other word (“friend”, “boss”, “parent”, whatever) and the point still stands.)
Finally, if you are one of the people who answered something like the above screenshots? Friend, this is a come-to-jesus moment, because that is NOT an appropriate way to handle an upsetting conversation. You’re allowed to be upset; you’re allowed to dislike a question; you’re allowed to excuse yourself to another room and cry for a while. It is okay to have big, hurt, scared feelings. It is NOT okay to control someone’s behavior via threats of violence, even if they are threats of violence against yourself. It is NOT okay to browbeat your partner into compliance and silence with your unregulated emotional displays. I really hope you sit with this quietly and think about it.
