FBI is really just straight up developing Trojan horse apps now
The people in the comments are amazing, like, half of them are saying “aren’t these the normal permissions for an fitness app?” And the answer is yes. Of course they are. Your regular fitness app is a takes a ton of data on you in order to function, and that data may or may not be stored with the company for a period of time.
But here’s the thing, when the FBI needs location data on someone, they need a WARRANT to get that information from that company, or that company’s cooperation. Back in the early 2000s, there were a number of companies that simply handed over data to letter agencies like the NSA or FBI, and they got roasted for it by their customers. Don’t fool yourself, the only reason why backdoors weren’t coded into your phones by companies like Apple is because they did the math and realized that the cost of cooperating and alienating their customer base was too high, not because these companies have ethics.
So we live in a climate where companies are promising users security and privacy, and when they don’t it’s a scandal that loses them customers and money. They aren’t playing nice with the FBI, so what is the FBI to do? Easy. Circumvent silicon valley.
There is exactly zero reason for the FBI, as an organization, to make entertainment apps. Educational is maybe in line with past practices, but even when they did stuff like that in the 90s, we called it out for the propaganda it was. This app is absolutely a trojan horse. This is so they can get the data you would normally give to a 3rd party company without a warrant.
Please, ffs, learn internet history. Go take a look at the EFF website and archives. Look up the patriot act and the AT&T scandal with the NSA from around 2004. Lots of people on here were barely children pre 9/11, but you can’t possibly understand surveillance and internet policing until you understand what happened to society and privacy from 2001-2010

We all know what erectile dysfunction is but literally no one is ever taught what vaginismus is and it can cause people to feel extremely lost, broken, and cause people to take their own lives.
Raise. Awareness.
For the uninformed, vaginismus is when the vagina painfully tightens and spasms when faced with pressure, usually from anything trying to insert into the vagina. It’s the reason I can’t wear tampons, and why many people can’t have vaginal sex without severe pain.
There’s not a lot of treatments, and there isn’t a single one that is for vaginismus exclusively - they’re all medications or treatments to treat symptoms, but not the causes. In fact, for a long time doctors waved off vaginismus as a purely psychological disorder in cis women.
Seriously, this is so unaddressed and uncared for in medical circles. Please spread awareness, even if all it’s for is to let those who have it but don’t have a name for it finally be able to understand what’s happening to their bodies.

Rabbits rely on body language for the majority of their communication. They also rely on manners in a way that would make the Heian Era aristocrats look uncultured. And you don’t get manner dictates like that without ALSO knowing how to be passive-aggressive with them.
Rabbit flops are super vulnerable for a bunny. Their stomachs are exposed and they’re in a position that means if danger shows up they have to waste precious seconds getting up before they can sprint for safety. A rabbit flop means both ‘I’m so happy I can’t contain it’ and ‘I feel so safe I am going to be vulnerable and really let go’. Rabbit owners love seeing it. It means that your bun really does feel that safe around you. It’s a pretty high compliment from an animal that knows everyone’s out to kill them.
However -
it can also be used passive aggressively in the ‘you mean so little to me you’re not even worth acknowledging as existing’. It’s right on the same level as walking into a room and greeting everyone but one person. An enemy rabbit would be a threat. This rabbit? This rabbit isn’t even important enough to be a threat. They’re a nobunny and so I will flop because there is nothing in the area worthy enough to bother being aware of.
To humans it can look very much the same but trust me, the bunnies know exactly which is which.
I just want y’all to know that one time during lockdown I played a lot of Minecraft because I had nothing better to do and then later I was going to go into my room after a shower so I could go back to being a hermit but it was dark so I just thought “oop, can’t go in there, there’ll be skeletons spawning there and they’ll shoot at me”
And for LIKE FIVE WHOLE SECONDS I didn’t question it and I just turned on the lights and walked out into the living room to wait it out, just thankful I had my pajamas on already so I didn’t have to fight off the shooty skeletons in my dark closet where there might be some creepers too
And then all of a sudden I was like “Wait what the frig skeletons aren’t real” and then just went back into my room
And I think about that a lot. So if ANY OF YOU dare to think that I have any more than three and a half braincells on a really good day, just please remember this and know that you are sorely mistaken

Passing on an important conversation I had with a family member the other day
Them: Gay people make me uncomfortable.
Me: (Queer, bluescreening) Uhhhhhhh
Them: I ean, I don’t mind gay people, I just don’t like the ones that are all in your face about it.

Them: Okay, so I was at a bar with my buddy a while back, right? And this gay person comes up to me, right, and they start flirting

Imagine how much r/childfree hates kids, but the only people allowed to post in this sub are parents.

Look I do understand the need to vent but an entire subreddit that seems to confirm the worst things that kids with ADHD think of themselves (my parents hate me, I’m too annoying to love, nobody will like me if I don’t shut myself down, everyone thinks I’m loud and stupid and they laugh about me behind my back, my mom wishes i was like my brother, if they could flip a switch to make me into someone else they would, they would rather have any child but me, anybody would rather have any child but me) seems fucking ghastly. Every evening my store manager tells us how much money the store made that day. And sometimes i joke that we should just split the earnings among the employees who were actually working that day and everyone laughs at the idea. But i mean.. is it that unreasonable? We are the whole reason the store made money at all that day
Im not saying we take all of it obviously. But its insane how little money we get, compared to how much money the store makes. Considering that we are literally the only reason the store makes any money at all, we are severely underpaid. And its insane to me how everyone can just laugh that off
it’s so funny to me that conservatives think the reason university students become more liberal is because of the actual course material and not like. the fact that universities in the US introduce are oftentimes the first place Americans are introduced to a walkable environment with affordable health care, with community spaces for any affiliation under the sun where they give you free resources and cheap food. with included public transit and opportunities for training in your field of choice. and you realize that for how much you’re spending on tuition/taxes, yeah, you do deserve these things, it would be insane not to have those. and then you graduate and go back to having to buy a car to drive 20 minutes to the grocery store.
It’s also one of the first places a lot of people raised in insular, conservative areas meet “the other”. People of other ethnicities and cultures, people of other religions, other gender presentations, sexualities, etc. You get to know them and start realizing how much of what you “knew” about them was myth or straight-up propaganda.
It’s a lot harder to demonize queer people when the person helping you pass calculus is a trans woman, or your lab partner talks about his boyfriend exactly the same way you talk about yours. It’s a lot harder to believe that immigrants are out to get you when your Hindu roommate cheerfully shares a care package of homemade goodies from home, or Malia down the hall covers your lunch because you forgot to bring your wallet to study group. You start rethinking some assumptions when the 6 foot spike-encrusted goth who sits behind you in lecture hall shows everyone photos of his baby niece dressed like a puppy for Halloween with all the pride of a new parent, and you remember when your flannel and camo-wearing uncle did the same thing at work last year with photos of your little sister.
Suddenly all those “others” are just people. They’re your friends, classmates, coworkers, and maybe even romantic interests. And that’s a lot harder to hate or fear.
