I think I once heard Charles Martinet say at a panel, the script for Mario Teaches Typing 2 had Mario telling the player negative things if they failed but he himself changed the lines and instead said things like “That was great, but I know you can do even better” and “That wasn’t as fast as last time..let’s try again” because in his mind he had already decided that he wanted Mario to be always loving

one of the first things i learned in a fucking summer vacation theater camp for kids was about how to emote on stage. the counselor wrote “LOVE” on the board and asked the class if anyone knew what the opposite of love was. naturally the whole class responds with “HATE”

They’ll host free meals for the whole community… but the people have to attend a church sermon before they’re allowed to have food.
They’ll host events and groups for kids… but all the education and activities are about Christianity.
Missionaries blatantly take advantage of scared and vulnerable communities, who are like that because of Christian colonialism, to forcefully convert them and kill off their religions and cultures.
