And it is a trap.
An ask like this has several purposes.
First, it uses social justice language in passive aggressive and manipulative ways to try to coerce a behavior. In this case, the desired behavior is usually for the recipent to participate in community shunning and/or harrassment. The language above is intended to put the recipient on the defensive where, in the haste to disassociate themself from the Bad Thing, they quickly disassociate themself from the bad person, often with no particular fact checking or evidence.
The message is also intended to create a sense of being surveilled and judged by an unknown amount of people with unknown amount of social power and an unknown amount of relevance to your life.
Notice that these asks are usually framed as if they are coming from a follower or potential follower, someone who is addressing you personally and who cares about your opinion and who your blog has an effect on. However this is usually…. very much not the case. If you’ve ever had the misfortune to watch a gossip campaign from like this from the outside, you will very quickly notice that messages like this get sent in mass batches to dozens and dozens of strangers. (You can often turn these up with a tumblr search, if you look.)
The sender does not know you and probably does not follow you. They have a person they don’t like (possibly for their stated reason and possibly not), and they are going through the reblogs of a post from that blog and mass messaging *everyone* with a form letter. They will not see your response and they will probably never even see your blog again.
Which brings us to the second goal of whisper campaigns like this:
Notice that I blacked out the names above? That’s because when the recipient answers anonymous asks like this, they provide a platform for the opinion on their blog. An anonymous message like this that gets posted doesn’t just spread gossip and apply pressure to the recipient, it is spread to the recipient’s entire community.
The *goal* is to get access to your community. The *goal* is to use you as a soapbox.
Is the information accurate? Did anyone check? Does the anon have an ulterior social motive? BIG SHRUG
If you go into the comments on one of these whisper campaigns you will see that *most people never bother to check.*
They assume good faith from a follower, they’re off balance defending themselves, and they jump straight to conciliation.
It’s a really, really effective form of social manipulation, and really really commonly misused.

If your artwork resembles any of the above even remotely your artwork is racist and offensive. If you try to excuse that as a stylistic choice you’re not only a terrible artist, but racist too!!! Whitewashing is also a problem. A lot of people refuse to draw black features on canonly black characters. While this example isn’t colored, lightening the skin-tone of a character is also considered whitewashing. So lets start with features!
Now all black people have different noses thats a no-brainer, but black noses tend to have flatter bridges, and wider nostrils.
Please stay from triangular anime noses and small button noses.
Your drawings should not depict black people with abnormally large noses. (Especially if you do not draw other characters this way)
If you feel like the way you draw lips on black characters is offensive or resembles a caricature,it probably does and you should change it. ABSOLUTELY AVOID PLACING LIPS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FACE.
Hair is so diverse! Please get used to drawing braids, locs,kinks and coils! If you can learn to draw ringlets and long waves you can learn how to draw black hairstyles.

This is good but very limited, black people don’t all look like west coast Africans, it’s a big blind spot a lot of us who had our ancestors enslaved from the west coast have, especially black Americans due to comparative homogenity.
While it’s good to avoid racial caricatures, there’s no one sort of face for a black person. While it’s good for people who only draw typical European features to move away from that, it’s a good idea for people to be aware of all the different people who would be considered black Africans:
Such as Ethiopians
Who look different to Ghanaians and Nigerians
And north Africans such as Tunisians
Who look different to those from the Congo
And special mention for black people of the Pacific, melanisians with Fijians, aboriginal people, Maori etc who are often considered black without needed to be African

1- anime is not a genre. it’s like, submedium if anything, but ultimately it’s just cartoons. unless the genre is really specific to anime (and i struggle to think of a genre that is truly exclusive to anime) it will follow the same genre conventions as anything else in that genre. and if the genre is specific to anime it will very likely share enough commonalities with other genres that most people are familiar with as to not be totally unfollowable.
2- the cultural differences between Japan and anywhere else in the world are not so vast that someone from, for instance, the USA would be totally helplessly confused watching any given anime if a cultural difference comes up. like if someone who is just completely unfamiliar with the concept of Japan is confused by something that’s a pretty easy google search and lots of anime and manga have translation notes.
