Taylor Swift is honestly just like any other Taylor, but faster

how does Taylor Swift’s velocity compare to a typical Taylor?

it’s more

It’s cause of the private jet isn’t it.

i don’t know it’s too private

Why are they having jets on their privates?

i spent $32 on this fucking bowl at the moma and at first i felt bad buying it bc it was so expensive but ive had a terrible day today and every time i look at my lil bowl im like :o) you know what. i can get through anything with this bowl by my side

i literally get what marie kondo was talking about now

bc everyone keeps requesting to see it filled :)

I don’t know how long I’ve been here. Time seems to pass differently. But the place is cozy and private so I have no complaints. And whenever I’m hungry, I go outside with my bowl and walk down the hill to the shore. Sometimes the lake is made of soup. Sometimes it’s huge pasta noodles the size of barges. Sometimes it’s breakfast cereal. Sometimes it’s dumplings the size of great whales. I dip my little bowl and take a portion and carry it back up to the house.

Today I found a new bowl! In its center is a little hill with a little house. I will carry it down to the shore and fill it up, and whomever lives in that little house can have a tiny portion of my meal. I hope they have a nice bowl to put it in..

I’m absolutely delighted that this is the tweet of mine that’s finally made the crossover

Also, fuck every single one of you who has anything to say about my galaxy leggings. My passport photo for the next 10 years was me wearing a necklace made of multi-coloured paperclips, with a sidecut I gave myself with kitchen scissors. I used to wear a mismatched pair of knockoff Doc Martens, one bright yellow and one lime green, with the laces replaced by purple hair ribbons and green gardening twine. I would layer 4 or 5 pairs of different coloured fishnet tights until my legs were like a 3D optical illusion, and wore a coral coloured blazer with shoulder pads that was 4 sizes too large.

You think the galaxy leggings are bad? You have no idea.

You sound like Mabel Pines and I sincerely hope you never stopped

I like how the chartreuse in your galaxies matched your sweater, you had a great eye for visual balance

i can never write a soulmates au cause i very quickly stop thinking about romance and start thinking about the sociological implications of a world where soulmates are a confirmed verifiable thing

is casual dating a thing in a world where everyone has a soulmate out there somewhere? is it frowned upon? is there a movement of people fighting for the idea that you don’t HAVE to wait for your soulmate to find true love? is it considered queer to be in a non-soulbound relationship? how does polyamory function? how about aromantic people?

is it guarenteed you’ll find your soulmate within your lifespan? are you drawn to find eachother even if you’re born a million miles apart? if it’s the kind of universe with physical soul marks (ie. matching moles, first words on skin), are there medical options to change or remove your mark? would it be considered a tabboo? could someone fake a soul mark? could you catfish someone by pretending to match them? isn’t there some kind of inherent horror in knowing destiny has entwined you with a stranger?

Being a trans woman is something noble and holy. Suggesting a man might actually be a trans woman is the highest compliment that he could possibly receive. If you think it’s an insult or “too intimate” you are a lowlife transmisogynist, no exceptions.

re: that poll, i asked my transfem sister months ago if she came out to our other sister and she said “no, but it would be nice if she could just… tell”. she is pre-anykindoftransition like it wouldve meant so much to her if someone could say/notice. the hypothetical person in that poll is a) not trans, so no big deal if you ask, b) is a transfem and youre signifying youre safe for her i literally dont see why you couldnt ask her that

terfs keep mentioning the % of autistics who are trans/nb and that we’re ‘brainwashed’

and because i’m an asshole, i decided to look into why so many autistic folks are trans/nb. it’s not an inaccurate statement, at least the first half, but terfs lie through their teeth so i decided to get to the scientific root of it.

the answer blew my fucking mind.

the study on gender and autism i found said two very specific things about autistic people: we are more mentally resistant to things like social conditioning and binarism. we like our secret third things, y'know.

an excerpt:

“The finding that non-binary identities are most elevated seems to support hypotheses focussed on autistic resistance to social conditioning, which are consistent with existing evidence of the same effect with respect to self-description of sexual orientation. Perhaps elevated rates of trans identity in autism might result from a rejection of the binary cisgenderist norm, which combined with a below-typical concern for social norms could promote the disclosure of the identity.”

94% of autistics surveyed for that paper identified themselves as non-binary.

other studies have found autistic people have higher levels of critical thinking, and require more evidence to maintain or convert to a belief system (hence why many of us eventually fall away from religion) than allistic people.

which means, at least from my perspective, that:

a) the 'brainwashing’ terfs are accusing the trans community of inflicting on autistic folks would likely not even work if they tried.

b) the current binary definition of gender flies directly against embedded autistic modes of thinking to begin with.

you cannot brainwash someone into thinking something they already believe.

This essentially suggests that autistic people are likely to be NB because we are in fact resistant to the relevant brainwashing.

As an autistic person with a weird gender this lines up with my personal observation, which is that autistic people are not really prone to follow social norms that don’t make sense to them or provide them with any benefits just because.

There is an immense amount of cis allistic anxiety about this, because they like to think adhering to the gender binary is in the same natural-law category as “don’t kill someone for pissing you off” or whatever, and it completely isn’t, and our collective refusal to play ball makes something in them angry.

The typical allistic reaction to autists behaving unusually is to insist on controlling them, or treat their social “failures” as deficits of parental, workplace, partner, state, societal control. The idea that autistic people are “brainwashed” into being trans and nonbinary is in fact projection by people who want to brainwash autistic people to follow their stupid fucking rules, and are existentially terrified that they can’t seem to get it to work

“This essentially suggests that autistic people are likely to be NB because we are in fact resistant to the relevant brainwashing.”

Which pretty much reveals that they’re bullshitters.

They CLAIM to be “gender critical” and to want people to reject gender wholesale as a tool of social control.

Yet when ND people go “yep, that shit never made much sense, I’m something else” they suddenly weep for our lost femininity.

When we’re telling them we never had it.

We’re what they say they want, but they hate us.

Funny that.

the most important part of having a magical fantasy land is of course the magic.

in this world, magic is produced by all living things as part of their metabolism, and is vital to life. without magic a creature will swiftly die, their body consuming itself in order to restore it.

This is a major danger in any workings of a spell, so any mage learns to recognize the symptoms of low magic and immediately cease casting

magic is split up into different disciplines a person can learn, though they arent mutually exclusive and anyone can learn any or all of them given enough time effort and of course money

magic can do most of the things a typical fantasy world can, but with a few exceptions: you cant create something out of nothing (the conversion rate of say heat into magic is very high but it still has to come from somewhere), you cant raise the dead, be it fully reviving someone or creating undead its still impossible, and you cant alter time.

pulling magic from other creatures is possible, but the creature must be either dying or ill from certain diseases that can weaken your connection to your magic

this is not seen as an inherently evil act, and can even be necessary for some spell, though doing it to another sapient creature is murder and so frowned upon

there are two main types of casting spells that everything else is divided between, quick casting (spells that take under 5 minutes to perform) and ritual casting (anything 30 minutes or over) (most spells dont take more than 5 minutes and less than 30)

of the two ritual magic can be far more powerful, as you can build up and store magic over time, resulting in an extremely powerful spell when its released. it is also the only way to make permanent effects on things, and is used for many forms of magical crafting

Fun fact: the 2022 valedictorian speech at USC commencement was by a student whose family is from Ukraine. He devoted the majority of his speech to talking about Ukraine. This is an UNBELIEVABLE double standard.

She’s a South Asian muslim. We’re in full on war on terror mode.

The backlash against Tabassum, who was chosen as valedictorian by a university committee from more than 100 applicants with GPAs of 3.98 or above, was unusual, even at a time of intense campus strife between pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel activists, because it didn’t involve anything she said or did. The opposition appeared to stem mostly from a link on her Instagram profile to a website she did not create.

The site, “Free Palestine Carrd,” features a photo of a woman raising a Palestinian flag above plumes of smoke during a 2018 protest near the Israel-Gaza border. A series of links explains how to “learn about what’s happening in Palestine.”

The links include statements that Zionism is a “racist settler-colonialist ideology” and that founders of Zionism thought “Palestinians needed to be ethnically cleansed from their homes.” The website explains proposals for two-state and one-state solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

[ID: Tweet by CAIR National (CAIRNational) reading: “Sign our LA chapter’s action alert calling on @USC reinstate the graduation speech of class of 2024 valedictorian Asna Tabassum, which the school cancelled in response to dishonest attacks and harassment from anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian bigots.” The tweet includes a photo of Tabassum, a hijabi with brown skin in a light green abaya, smiling at the camera. Overlaid text reads “Take action: Tell USC to reinstate Muslim valedictorian’s speech, reject anti-Palestinian and anti-Muslim hate. bit.ly/reinstante-asna”

*tired screaming* 🇵🇸 (@Ruth_Mensch) QRTed the tweet and added: “[all caps] she has. a minor. in genocide studies. from the USC Shoah Foundation. these bitches have lost the plot. [end caps] this is [all caps] shameful. [end caps]” End ID]
