I fucking hate when people say stuff like this. Especially when it’s on a generally good post with valuable information. On the one hand I want to share that information because it could genuinely help someone; on the other, I don’t want to spread this type of guilt-tripping and shaming and potentially trigger someone else like me. It’s a lose-lose situation. No matter what I do, I am going to feel guilty. No matter what I do, I will feel like a terrible person. It sucks and I just wish people would stop doing this. I know it’s shocking, but it is actually possible to make an important and useful post without guilting everyone that sees it into sharing.

When posts say, “you have no excuse,” the most common first thought will be something along the lines of “well maybe I do!” By framing the need to reblog as an accusation if one doesn’t, it actually drives away the otherwise passive audience that would’ve reblogged the post.
A much more successful addition to a post is something along the lines of “It would really help me/the cause out if you reblogged!” With this phrasing, it makes the passive audience feel more inclined to reblog because they will feel like they are helping you/the cause. So, it benefits both the audience and the cause

I heard this metaphor growing up, and in my case, it backfired supremely, because I went out into my neighbor’s backyard where a rose bush was growing, and the one I tested had like 30 petals (it was yellow, but definitely a rose of some kind), and as a very logical lass, I came to the conclusion that you could have premarital sex AT LEAST ten times before your future husband would even notice something was up. Moral of the story? Test your metaphors on the weirdest and most neurodivergent child you know before writing your weird religious propaganda.
As a florist I also find this hilarious too because you pretty much always need to remove four or five guard petals from a rose before incorporating it into an arrangement. If I actually handed someone a “virgin rose” they would inevitably complain about the quality because the outer petals of a rose are almost always bruised, torn, or sometimes even rotted. Not to mention the roses you can buy are the product of almost a thousand years of selective breeding and therefore not very natural themselves.

Not voting isn’t the same as a boycott. Because you can’t bankrupt a government by not voting. All you get by not voting is less control over what the money is doing.
The money comes from taxes, not voting. Abstaining from voting does nothing to reduce the governments ability to get money and spend it on shit.
So yes, sometimes you vote to reduce harm because not voting WILL NOT REDUCE HARM.

“But voting blue won’t fix [fundamental underlying problem in America].” Voting for Democrats cannot fix every issue, this is true. But by saying this and ONLY this you are discouraging people from voting by making them feel hopeless. Voting is one of many tools in our arsenal, not the only tool, but an important one, and it does matter.
“You shouldn’t vote blue, you should do [other thing] instead.” See above: you can vote and protest and organize at the same time. It’s not either/or. You can do it all. Stop discouraging voters from exercising their rights under the guise of leftism.

Therefore, Rapture believers want someone else (preferably Muslims) to destroy Israel and commit genocide against Jews, so that both Jews and Muslims will be wiped out.
Those are your two choices.
On the one hand, a guy who stands by Israel politically and militarily but is also advocating for justice and peace behind the scenes, or a guy who is 100% ride-or-die for the worst of Netanyahu’s violence and backed by people who are hoping to use this to create more genocide in the future.
And if you say “well, I just won’t vote,” you are contributing to the victory of the guy who is vocally pro-genocide.
I recently saw a post trying to discourage votes for Biden by revealing things that have happened under Biden. However I’ve noticed people doing that never seem to want to discuss the problem or policy under Republicans.
The post revealed the large number of immigrants deported under Biden. What the poster was careful not to point out is that Republicans consider only deporting several hundred thousand people to be an “Open Door” policy they need to fix by sending everyone back and slamming the door shut.
Biden hasn’t fixed abortion rights. Oh, you mean those rights Trump succeeded in destroying by stacking the Supreme Court with conservative judges who lied about not revoking Rowe vs Wade. Do you think conservatives are happy with States being able to decide to protect abortion? Do you think they aren’t working to change that?
Israel. See the post above on the rapture. Understand how deeply help that belief is. I had an elderly neighbor who used to donate $25 a week to her church so they would have enough money to send Jewish people back to Israel for the end times.

Protest. Build support networks. Write letters. Fundraise for food, shelter and protection for the vulnerable. AND vote, because voting is literally the minimum wage of civic engagement. Protest. Build support networks. Write letters. Fundraise for food, shelter and protection for the vulnerable. AND vote, because voting is literally the minimum wage of civic engagement. It is the “if I could do less, I would.” If you want candidates you WANT to vote for instead of the lesser of two evils, you need to convince them to run, tell people about them, and raise money for them, and they can’t go from zero to Presidential level in 4 years, and they can’t do anything without a Congress to go with them because that’s how checks and balances have been weaponized against our country by grifters and bigots acting in bad faith for literal decades now.

“No one wants to look at art of OCs” I don’t think that’s true at all…I follow people specifically to see their OCs literally all the time. Bring back being curious about people’s OCs, asking questions about them and hyping them up like we did when we were teens
