There is NO SAFE DOSAGE of pennyroyal oil. Even Mother Earth News says there’s no reason to use pennyroyal essential oil for ANYTHING, even topically or as a fragrance, for fuckssake! That should give you some idea about how dangerous it is!

For reference, i have a master’s in conservation biology and my bachelor’s degree in zoology was very heavily focused on ecology and fauna native to North America, but the system set up in the US is excellent for wildlife conservation and is what most people are suggesting when this topic comes up.
Yep, well managed trophy hunting is a great conservation tool. You might not like it (I loath the idea of trophy hunting), but banning it would do far more harm than good. Here’s some articles on the subject;

It’s also extremely hypocritical and colonial to tell African countries what they can and can’t do with their wildlife. The UK benefits hugely from trophy hunting tourism. Hunters from abroad will pay thousands to come to the UK to shoot deer, feral goats, pheasants, grouse and other gamebirds and waterfowl. It’s a big industry that’s very poorly regulated in the UK and often has detrimental impacts on native wildlife.
Why is it ok for the UK to have trophy hunting but not other countries, especially when they have proven to manage it so much better than we do? Should it not be up to African nations to decide what they do with their wildlife? What right do we in the UK have to tell other countries how to live alongside dangerous wild animals when we’ve exterminated all our megafauna and large predators?

looking at (vetted) gofundmes for people trying to escape palestine and i don’t know how many of you actually click on the gofundme links you reblog but i would like to point out, for what it’s worth, just how amazing it is that so many have raised so much money. it may overall feel like a drop in the ocean but the fact that several gofundmes have raised tens of thousands of dollars is amazing. it is so expensive to leave gaza right now, and people still need money after they escape. but regardless of what propaganda the US, UK, canada, and other western nations are trying to pump out, people across the world are doing what they can to help these people survive. many of them are still very far from their goals (like this one and this one and this one) and some of them are very close to high goals (like this one), and some of them have reached almost double their original goal.
and that’s not even addressing direct aid or organizations that take continuous donations for distribution of food, menstrual products, etc. the PCRF has raised $16,000,000 of their target goal of $20,000,000 to fund current aid and long-term relief efforts in gaza. This is a huge misconception for regular Americans. When the government uses the phrase “undocumented” they’re using it incorrectly because if they were truly undocumented then they would’ve be in system. However these immigrants are in the system and they pay taxes, file tax returns and get no benefits that citizens and legal residents get. They also get to see ICE showing up at their doors because the government has their addresses.
Fun fact. “Undocumented” workers pays $12 billion dollars every year in taxes.

“Undocumented” just means “without papers,” i.e. a social security card, valid visa, etc. They’re still on databases and whatnot, they just don’t have the documentation that allows them to reap the benefits.
