I’m a lot older than you. I grew up during the cold war and the aids crisis, and I’ve seen a lot of conflict (on the news, not in my country, at least not during my lifetime) and never before has there ever been, in my opinion, a conflict this black and white, this obviously insidious, this blatantly genocidal as this one, while governments around the world say it isn’t. I don’t understand why saying Stop Genocide can get me fired now, I really don’t
It’s so obviously, unmistakably genocidal and pure evil that it makes me feel crazy that the media and governments can act as if it is “Complicated!”
If I so much as suggest that I might support the palestians, I will lose my job. At work, I have to pretend that we aren’t transparently the bad guys here. And I don’t have much of a choice in who I work for, not if I want to have a home. I’ve been homeless. I don’t want to be homeless again. I get that like, a solution to preventing this from happening again is complicated, but stopping the bombing and the snipers and the like isn’t complicated at all. A long term solution is complex. A short term solution of stop fucking killing people and provide aid to the survivors is not remotely complex.

There’s a post going around Tumblr about how if you’re post-menopausal and have bleeding, you should get it checked by your doctor. I brought some minor bleeding I’d had up in a doctor visit earlier this year, prompted by that post, and this week, after a biopsy, I found out I have cancer. It’s early stage and the survival odds at 5 years are 99%. I have an oncologist appointment and we may have caught it early enough that surgery alone will be sufficient treatment (no radiation/chemo).
So that post may have saved my life and it may have made my treatment a lot easier too.
If you get into menopause and then start bleeding again, really, get your reproductive innards checked out. The life you save may be your own.

There aren’t even any girls in America who have had transitional genital surgery that young, it doesn’t happen, that’s an invented concept and since everyone responsible for that law would have found that out at some point in the process, this isn’t ignorance but genuinely just 100% calculated to be something terrifying and upsetting they can blame trans people for “forcing” them to do. They’re not dumb, they’re just willing to sink so low as to have children legally abused, or at least put the threat of it on the books, to circuitously punish other people they hate.
I really appreciate the OP of this thread mentioning that they’re looking for intersex traits. Yes, this is to try to hurt trans kids and will hurt cis perisex kids. But I really want people to internalize that they’re using bodies like mine explicitly - naturally intersex bodies that do not fit into a physical sex binary regardless of gender identity.
Please stand with intersex people. Please learn about intersexism. Please tag things like this with intersexism as well as transphobia. Please name our struggles along with your own when it applies. I was sexually assaulted by doctors as a fucking child because I am intersex and it makes me insane seeing shit like this being all about perisex kids suffering. I had a full pelvic and pap as a child because I am intersex and there was legitimately no medical need to do that. Please remember intersex people in these discussions. I assume that in the next decade, COVID lockdown will be the prototypical “explanation” for why gen alpha is the way they are, whatever that happens to be. I really want to get bottom surgery because I get extreme bottom dysphoria at times. I don’t want a dick for sexual reasons, I need one so I can feel comfortable in my own body, to minimize dysphoria, and to help affirm my gender.
Bottom surgery for some isn’t about sex or sexual related things, but instead to save their life and to affirm their gender and that’s okay and is something that needs to be talked about more.

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — South Africa launched a case Friday at the United Nations’ top court accusing Israel of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and asking the court to order Israel to halt its attacks — the first such challenge made at the court over the current war. Israel swiftly rejected the filing “with disgust.”
South Africa’s submission to the International Court of Justice alleges that “acts and omissions by Israel … are genocidal in character” as they are committed with the intent “to destroy Palestinians in Gaza” as a part of the broader Palestinian national, racial and ethnic group.
South Africa has been a fierce critic of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza. Many there, including President Cyril Ramaphosa, have compared Israel’s policies regarding Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank with South Africa’s past apartheid regime of racial segregation.
South Africa asked The Hague-based court to issue an interim order for Israel to immediately suspend its military operations in Gaza. A hearing into that request is likely in the coming days or weeks. The case, if it goes ahead, will take years, but an interim order could be issued within weeks.
