The paranoia and obsession underlying this ideology is really something
I think this illustrates really well how trans exclusionary radical feminism actually reinforces gendered expectations of what a man/woman should look like, sound like, act like, etc. and leads to stringent policing of gender along hegemonic, patriarchal norms rather than anything liberating or radical.
this is also entirely premised on white assumptions about what an “acceptable” body part is on a man or woman. like what the fuck are “authentically” feminine looking eyes? or hands for that matter?
Idk if anyone is gonna see this but if you do I’d really appreciate if you would reblog I’m sorry if it sounds like bait but I really need this info to get as far as possible but 2 days ago one of my cousins have gone missing and I really doubt it but if anyone has any form of information my family would really appreciate it
EVERYONE
PLEASE DO YOUR BEST TO KEEP THIS IN YOUR MINDS
Even if it somehow was bait (which I’m sure it’s not), everybody deserves to be safe and found, and reblogging this and spreading it will help that.
Try to find him, however you can. Be on the look out.
please reblog this is my mutual please reblog if you’re from around this area and keep an eye out for a boy who looks like him if you can please
oh my god it’s laika day everyone drop what you’re doing… we honour a little dog who was sent up into space 65 years ago today. she was found as a three year old stray mongrel wandering the streets of moscow. her ability to endure hardy conditions got her chosen as the candidate for a journey she was never meant to survive. she passed away seven hours after liftoff. I hope she died dreaming of chasing rabbits up in the stars I love u laika forever and ever
It’s a good metaphor tho, because the situation is never going to get better if you don’t eventually pull the door. And afterwards, no matter what the damage was, you’ll have a working cabinet, whatever plates you could salvage, and a place to start putting new plates.
Reblogging for that comment ^
Hats off for negative jokes turned to wholesome posts
So this was me for a long time. Afraid to open the door, certain that all that I was would crash and break. That I could never be repaired.
But I opened the door.
And what fell out and crashed to the ground was not me. They weren’t my dishes.
They were other people’s dishes.
Put inside we without my permission, when I was too young to know that I could not hold them all.
I opened the door, and I’m still here.
It turns out, I’m not that fragile.
Oh damn it got better
THANK YOU TWO FOR MAKING OUR LIVES A LITTLE BETTER
No offence but I think that you people really need to start thinking about The Implications for maybe like five seconds before you start making 10000 joke posts about how jews own the entirety of new york
Saying this as someone who supports palestine myself I think that some of you need to stop & consider some history before you start being “pro palestine” by making completely unrelated jokes about how jewish people are truly in control in america. or before you start ranting about how all jewish people are suspiciously wealthy and/or control the media on a post that doesn’t mention israel at all. just a suggestion
can we normalise people not saying mean jokes to one another without their consent? and not call the people who aren’t comfortable with mean jokes “snowflakes”?
we don’t call people who aren’t comfortable with physical touch without consent “snowflakes”.
you wouldn’t say sexual things to a stranger online without knowing whether or not they’re an adult who is comfortable with it (some people do, but they don’t count). so why should people be expected to ‘grow up’ when someone is uncomfortable with a mean joke?
(i’m autistic and tend to misinterpret the cues a lot of mean jokes have, so i’m not comfortable with them)
it’s always so fucking funny to me when terfs are like “how can you say trans women and women are the same thing! being born as a man makes you different!” because like. yes. trans women and cis women are different. so are black women and white women. and straight women and queer woman. and women from different countries and different socioeconomic statuses. there’s diversity in the experience of womanhood? what a wild concept
…we reject the stance of Lesbian separatism because it is not a viable political analysis or strategy for us. It leaves out far too much and far too many people, particularly Black men, women, and children. We have a great deal of criticism and loathing for what men have been socialized to be in this society: what they support, how they act, and how they oppress. But we do not have the misguided notion that it is their maleness, per se—i.e., their biological maleness—that makes them what they are. As BIack women we find any type of biological determinism a particularly dangerous and reactionary basis upon which to build a politic.
(emphasis mine)
“To argue that transsexual women should not enter [women-exclusive spaces] because their experiences are different would have to assume that all other women’s experiences are the same, and this is a racist assumption. The argument that transsexual women have experienced some degree of male privilege should not bar them from our communities once we realize that not all women are equally privileged or oppressed.”
This. This is the core of it. This is why trans-exclusionary radical feminism is rooted in racism, colonialism, and imperialism. It excludes the idea that there can be any other type of “woman” except one very (white, colonialist, imperialist) definition.
Sorry for the late response, I searched through (I believe) every post on @i-count-words-in-posts to compile a list of all oddities and inconsistencies, however I came to the boring conclusion that this gimmick blog has fully consistent rules - only counting words within the post contents (not any attachments, tags or user IDs) and counting hyphenated words as two words.
I suppose that makes this blog verified, by the moderators’ own rules? I won’t give the rating, though, as it is a somewhat opinionated way to count words within posts.
Going to out myself as an absolute freak here but as an autistic adult I get a strange joy out of roleplaying a Normal Person. like I think it’s fun and satisfying to maintain this cordial appearance of Normalcy with my neighbors and I know that’s only my approximation of how a normal person would act but I like the idea of fitting in idk. I like to dress cute and make sandwiches and sort my bookcase and arrange everything just so
as you may know, i have a clown named binky, they are starting to have a problem with gender identity. do clowns even have gender and if so how similar is it to humans??? please help i need to support them so they can stay happy and honky
As you probably know, many clown keepers advise against using paint to alter your clowns markings and appearance. In this case, however, you might want to offer Binky some grease paints to experiment with!
Much like humans, clown gender can be tied to clown presentation (though, also like humans, its not one to one). Offering them the option to control or alter their features its a good first step and shows your clown that it has support from its troupe!
I Highly recommend asking where Binky has gone the first few times they show you their paint, if they decide to use it! Its a good bit
alr is washable body paints good? i think i might already have some lying around but idk if its safe for clown skin. i could check in with my local clown shops to see if they have any (explaining its for binkys own identity and not for my aesthetic, those ppl are weird) bc id imagine clown gender crisis is not something special
Massive fuck you to everyone who is talking about Palestinians as if we’re already all dead and sharing more solidarity with our corpses than us living. “We will never forget the beautiful Palestinian people-“ how about you stop “making peace” with Palestinian extermination. My people are not going to be forgotten because we are going to live. Palestinians have already survived one genocide and have been surviving one ever since.
Do not ever let the idea that all Palestinians are going to die exist in your mind. Mourn the dead, fight like hell for the living.
McDonald’s giving away free fries if you use their mobile app and then updating the terms and conditions to say if you use this app you waive your right to trial in any class action lawsuits and have to do mandatory arbitration is INSANE
because i haven’t seen this in the notes yet: it is also VERY SIGNIFICANT that they are doing this as more and more people are learning about BDS. mcdonalds is one of the massive companies that palestiniens have been calling for boycotts of for years. it’d be a very convenient time for them if you ignored the ongoing call to boycott.
to any americans who feel “paralyzed” and “dont know what to do” to help with gaza:
reading a fucking book. i beg of you.
in a time of knowledge suppression is it your duty to arm yourself with knowledge.
read about americas occupations in the middle east.
read about 9/11 from outside of america and see how they inflicted senseless harm and violence to countless amounts of people and have been suppressing your rights for the past 2 fucking decades.
read about any of the countless wars from the past 30 years. especially from a civilian’s. and the victims and survivors’ perspective. listen to the horror stories and do not plug your fucking ears as to what your country is doing.
and read about fucking gaza and palestine and keep up with what is happening no matter how “sad” or “uncountable” you might get.
dont look away from this.
you dont have the right to be comfortable during countless active genocides.
if you’re knowledgeable, you’re powerful, and our current state doesnt fucking want that.
you have the power to change things if you open your eyes and scream to the world.
wake the fuck up.
Edit: please check the reblogs there are readings and ways to help
last night a I gave a trick or treater some candy and their mom was like “what do we saaaaay 😏” and the kid just said “I eat it.” then ate it right in front of me and threw the wrapper on the ground. and like holy shit. they did eat it they weren’t lying

this is what the hands in my brain does to my clay brain
cruelty is so easy. youre not special for choosing it
“The trouble is that we have a bad habit, encouraged by pedants and sophisticates, of considering happiness as something rather stupid. Only pain is intellectual, only evil interesting. This is the treason of the artist; a refusal to admit the banality of evil and the terrible boredom of pain.”
-Ursula K. LeGuin, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas
“Evil is boring. Right? I kinda believe in the banality and mundaneness of evil. Evil is just selfish impulses, which at the end of the day are really easy to understand. It’s easy to understand why people do bad things. It’s like “yeah, ok, you’re selfish and scared and cruel, I get it”. Being good is complex and beautiful and hard.” - Brennan Lee Mulligan
[Image description: Screenshot of a tweet by Twitter user “@HTHRFLWRS”, that says, “not nonbinary as in “add a third X gender marker to licenses” but nonbinary as in “remove all genders from licenses, holy shit why would you want a cop to know you’re trans” /end ID]
I’m gonna keep asking it: if the law is supposed to be the same regardless of gender, what is legal gender needed for if not treating people different based on their gender?
ooh rebloging for that last comment, so on point ily thank you
workplace comedy sketch where a nuclear power engineer and a paranormal investigator get their equipment mixed up and go to their respective jobs unaware of the difference
nuclear plant engineer: guys i think the reactor core’s haunted
nuclear plant foreman: what?
engineer: *holding up the screaming spirit box* reactor core’s haunted
[meanwhile]
paranormal investigator: so the good news is, your problem isn’t ghosts
family who recently purchased an apparently haunted house: oh that’s great! what’s the bad news though
paranormal investigator: well. uh. let’s see. how much do you know about the chernobyl disaster.
